The space used to belong to a trendy clothing chain, but now it had been transformed into a little corner of France - Provence to be exact. Our hosts for the evening from L'Occitane pointed out to us all the little details reminiscent of the brand's Gallic roots: the warm brick tiles, the splash of yellow that is so characteristic of the region, the small bright yellow buds of the immortelle flowers adorning the shelves and of course the huge custom art wall painted as an homage to L'Occitane's iconic packaging design. Like every L'Occitane store, the atmosphere was uniquely French and inviting.
As guests we got to browse all the latest products and of course indulge in playing with the classic favourites. I've known L'Occitane for much of my life as my mom and sister introduced me to it, so I was able to chat happily away to other guests about my favourite products. L'Occitane has always seemed so luxurious and high-end to me, while still maintaining a rustic charm that makes it accessible to the every-woman. While the skincare of course is to die for, my current favourite section of L'Occitane is their fragrances. Lush, beautifully fragranced, but never over-powering, I basically spent most of my time sniffing each one, even though I am quite familiar with them already.

Besides celebrating the store opening, L'Occitane was also celebrating the debut of their latest scent, Arlesienne, a scent inspired by the mystery and beauty of the women of Provence:
Man, if one fragrance can turn me into an alluring Frenchwoman, then sign me up ASAP!
The store is now open to the public so definitely head down to check it out for yourself or to check off that lucky person on your shopping list!
