Burberry, oh Burberry. How I love thee. As I'm sure you all know by now, lipsticks are one of my makeup obsessions and Burberry makes some of the best that I've tried. Today's post features an ode to my Burberry lipstick collection, including some new additions that I recently picked up!
Lipstick is one of the few makeup items that I don't believe you always get what you're paying for. When it comes to foundations and eyeshadows, for sure I'm a bit of a snob and rarely purchase these from a drugstore brand, but with lipsticks I'm way more democratic and will pick up both low and high end items.

My first Burberry lipsticks were the Burberry Kisses Pink Peony and the Burberry Lip Mist in Pink Camellia. Both shades are quite similar, but Camellia Pink is the one I favour more as it's a beautiful medium pink with slight blue undertones. The Lip Mists are slightly creamy, matte and sheer, so they're meant to be built up to the level of color you desire. It usually takes me 3-4 swipes to obtain true color with Camellia Pink and it's a lovely way to perk up my lips, which naturally tend to be more brown toned.

For something with more oomph, you can't go wrong with the Burberry Lip Velvet lipsticks. I recently received 2 shades from this staple line: the classic Military Red, a staple in any Burberry collection, and Magenta Pink.

I'm absolutely in love with Magenta Pink, with its vibrant, one-swipe, true-to-tube color. Military Red is also quite pretty, but it has a slight brick tone to it, that prevents me from totally fawning over it. Both shades are quite pigmented, matte, but not drying, and literally last all day. I recall swiping on Magenta Pink in the morning and it was still pretty much there when I left work at 6!

Last, but definitely not least, are the new-ish Burberry Liquid Lip Velvets. I rarely if ever wear liquid lipsticks, but these I've been getting a ton of usage out of. Unlike most liquid lipsticks, these are super easy to apply as the Liquid Lip Velvets' mousse formula and doe foot applicator make it simple to achieve crisp lip lines, even right into the corners! Like the regular Lip Velvets, the liquid format is also one-swipe to full opacity and dry down to a beautiful velvety finish that makes my lips look positively pillowy.

Next time you are wanting to treat yo'self, then I certainly suggest wandering over to the nearest Burberry counter and checking out any of the many lipstick options available. Impeccably packed, with moisturizing formulas and a gorgeous array of shades, purchasing a Burberry lipstick is something you'll never regret.
